CROSSING OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE
As we draw near to the end of the year, let’s reflect on these three points taken from Mark 4:35-41 in preparation for 2025.
LOOK BACK - “Now when they had left the multitude...”
The disciples had an opportunity to witness the ministration of the Gospel with the multitudes. As Sowers we are grateful for the many opportunities we had of sharing the Gospel to the multitudes and for the provision of resources. Through the various storms, we experienced His Protection.
LOOK UP - “Where is your FAITH?”
The disciples witnessed the unfailing faithfulness of God in the provision of victory over storms. The Word of God and His presence serves as our firm anchor of FAITH against all odds. The Gospel and the Holy Spirit are the two authorities to conquer Satan, Sin, and Sickness.
LOOK AHEAD- "Let us cross over to the other side.”
On the other side, the disciples witnessed the deliverance of a demon-possessed man. We pray, and trust God for the opening of more doors in 2025 for the presentation of the Gospel, and for His provision of ministry resources.

Praise
- To God, and thanks, for all SOWERS Level 1 & 2 seminars conducted during the last quarter
- For the good health of all Sowers and the protection of their families
- For open-air meetings held in various places
Pray
- For all SOWERS Level 1, 2 & 3 training seminars coming up, for the church hosts, and for fruitful missions and outreaches – with special requests for prayer for mission by the Accra Sowers Team at Gador, Ghana (26 Dec - 2 Jan) and a Level 1 Seminar (12 Dec) in Lambal, India. Please pray for the leaders and participants.
- For suitable dates to be found for all seminars being planned, including a Level 2 at Bechem and Berekum Presbyterian Churches (Ghana) and Level 1 & 2 training in CAR in early 2025.
- For the continued protection of all Sowers and their families.
AUSTRALIA
Praise
- For the successful Prayer Morning, AGM and Board meeting
- For the Lord’s provision of funds for the 23/24 financial year
- For all our wonderful prayer warriors who faithfully intercede for the ministry
- For the many who have been trained, who have received Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and for the churches planted this year.
Pray
- For funds for projects to be available to advance the work and workers in the New Year.
- That mentoring sessions with Godfrey and Emmanuel continue to benefit them and Selwyn
- For all co-ordinators and trainers, that their commitment to the Lord and SOWERS ministry will be renewed and reap a harvest of souls in 2025
CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC (CAR)
Praise
- For open-air activities planned with the Baptist Church in November
- To God, for open-air work done which resulted in planting the church of Mbossoro in Bangui
- To God, for the trip of Co-ordinator Maurice Wembi to Boali PK, 95km from the capital Bangui
- To God, for the health He continues to bestow on Sowers and the members of the National Committee.
Pray
- For peace in the country
- For the supply of evangelistic materials and for difficulties operating within the budget.
- For members of the National Committee who are very devoted to the work
- For the upcoming trip of the Regional Advisor for Central and West African countries.
CONGO (DRC)
Praise
- For the visit of the International President of SOWERS to DRC in September 2024
- For the training of Level 1 Sowers in Kasenga in October 2024
- For the outdoor activities organized in September / October in 12 schools in Ariwara, a village in Ituri Province: 326 students accepted the Lord Jesus as their Saviour. Several have become members of the local church.
- For consolidation sessions held in the new church planted in Fungurume (180km from Lubumbashi). A trained pastor has been sent to take care of this new church.
Pray
- For lasting peace in DRC. Political tension negatively impacts populations and churches.
- For the fragile physical health of the Regional Advisor for Francophone, Africa.
- For revival and renewal of the work of God, parish teams, and Sowers of Lubumbashi
- For various evangelical outings planned in Ariwara in the MADRIMUS Quarter
- For Level 3 training planned in Kasenga
- For the second visit of the Regional Advisor to Ariwara to conduct training
COTE d’IVOIRE
Praise
- For the health and safety of Sowers and the National Board
- For contact with pastors and leaders of United Methodist Church in Côte d'Ivoire.
- For the Level 1 seminar and training sessions organized in Abidjan
- For SOWERS evangelism in M'Brou where 84 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
Pray
- For the effective resumption of SOWERS activities in Abidjan, and in Côte d'Ivoire
- For the restructuring of the National Board.
- For the supply of SOWERS material needed across the country.
GHANA
Praise
- Praise the Lord for safe travels
- For His healing and provision through the year
- For the Bread of Life Methodist Church and for their regular open-air meetings.
Pray
- That there will be peace in the country during and after the elections on 7 December 2024
INDIA
Praise
- For keeping all our Sowers safe during the ongoing violence
- For Daina, a girl who accepted Jesus as Lord and personal Saviour
Pray
- For an end to ongoing violence between Kukis and Meiteis (arson and killing innocent people) and that warring communities will negotiate for peace.
KENYA
Praise
- To God for the fruitful meeting of the SOWERS President and National Boards in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda
- To God, and thanks, for the impact of effective SOWERS Seminars in August/September
- To God for the celebration of His presence during the successful Awake Nakuru open-air meeting and door-to-door evangelism
- For peace in Kenya and Uganda that smoothes the way for ministry activities
- For the successful and influential visit of the SOWERS President, making a lasting impression on nationals.
Pray
- For a safe and successful deputation to Zambia for Emmanuel to establish new connections and partnerships
- For new connections with Kenyan churches and opportunities for SOWERS training
- For outreach initiatives and successful church planting, especially in rural areas
- For resources for mobility and printing materials for Kenya and Tanzania
- For wisdom and guidance for Kenyan leaders

RWANDA
