Kenya

Kenya fits into Australia 13.25 times and has a population of 49,000,000. It is divided into eight provinces. English and Swahili are the main languages but there are many other languages spoken in Kenya. According to Operation World, almost 50% of the population are evangelical Christians. SOWERS is not yet registered in Kenya and is led by a Steering Committee.

Worker Profile

EMMANUEL - Emmanuel and Udiness and their family are Zambian SOWERS missionaries working in Kenya. They moved to Kenya in December 2012 and are living in Nakuru. Emmanuel came to the Lord in 1986 at a SOWERS open air meeting. He went to the International Needs Theological College in Solwezi for three years studying theology and carpentry. On returning home he was trained further in the SOWERS Program and he has seen many churches planted and souls saved through open air meetings. Emmanuel, a Level 5 Sower, has many years of experience with SOWERS and has stepped out in faith to train churches in Kenya in the SOWERS Program.
