Week Three - 15th to 21st each month
Week Four - 22nd to end of month

The Heart of a Soul Winner ...

Paul said, “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” (1Tim. 1:15). Christ Helps People – through US.

Have you allowed Christ to proclaim to someone the way to salvation and offer him His life – through your lips and the good relationships with others? Have you allowed Him, through your eyes, to look at the face of a person who is suffering and share words of comfort? Could He use your hand to touch someone who is lonely, frightened, or desperate? Have you allowed Him to hug, with your arms, a person who needs help? Was He able to lend a hand to someone who stumbles, using your shoulder to support him?

This is Christianity – Christ who lives, today, in and through people like you and me. Does the life of your unconverted neighbours bother you? Have you neglected to share with them the exhilarating lifestyle of Jesus Christ? Have you always thought that such things were the responsibility of the Church?

You are right. But the Church is neither the assembly nor the denomination. The Church is you and it is me. Christ lives neither in a stone cathedral nor in a temple made of bricks and mortar. He lives in our lives, in our bodies. We are His temple. He ministered, revealed himself, demonstrated His compassion, and offered His mercy through you and me, and others like us.

It is from this truth that the heart of the soul-winner must beat.

Emmanuel, Regional Advisor Central & West Africa
