From  ...  Regional Director for Asia

Nepali Sowers are excited about supporting SOWERS work through a chicken farming project. A chicken farmer from New Zealand is available to give experienced advice. He and Regional Director John E should travel to Nepal during the start up phase when his advice is most needed. While in the region, they will visit and boost the work in India.

How did the need arise?

Nepali Sowers are keen that SOWERS be self-supporting within the country. Land is available and expert help is needed to ensure work is done in a viable manner.

Project purpose

Nepal chicken project (see Project 53) - as no building has been erected yet, it is desirable to give expert advice re the construction of a suitable building and to advise re ongoing management of the project. To research and approve availability of chicks, feed and medicines. It would be great for Dave to have some exposure to open air meetings while we are in Nepal.

India - to - to encourage Sukumar and help him towards his L5 status and to assist him give possible L3 and L4 training.  Also to encourage Benjamin.

Who will do it?

Regional Director John E and chicken farmer Dave S.
