Thank you to the Australian donors who have donated this project in full.
Uganda has always been proactive in seeking to raise their own support. Hiring tents and chairs for functions has proved to be a good investment for them so this project seeks to give them more options by buying two 200 seat tents and two 50 seat tents along with the chairs they require. These tents and chairs will compliment what they already have.
Thank you for helping out here. The printing has been done and being out to good use.
Training manuals are a key part of equipping the church for evangelism. Counselling booklets and follow-up materials are crucial for new Christians. Printing them is an unavoidable cost.
Completed. Thank you for your generosity. The computer is helping greatly with translation and administration.
In order for the Ugandan Field coordinator to have a reliable and good means of communication, he needs to replace the old laptop that is not working as it should.

A success story. Your donations enabled long-term support of SOWERS training in Uganda.
Our Ugandan staff gave careful consideration and diligently researched their Income Generating Project options. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the proposal. Over time, they would like to be able to hire out tents and chairs of several different sizes to groups and organizations requiring them for functions. The income generated will give SOWERS Uganda much needed funds to put towards their ministry. In the first stage we are aiming to fund 3 sets of tent plus 100 chairs. Each set costs USD2185.
The first set is paid for! Could you help towards the next?
What happened?
Another success story!.In the short time that the Uganda Tent Project has been operating, it has grown significantly. The hiring of tents in Uganda is seasonal with the period September to February being the time when tents are most needed. The picture left shows another tent being used at a wedding. SOWERS Uganda only supplies tents with chairs not tables.
Updates from Uganda:
Nov 2019: "The project has been so successful. It has supported the ministry to meet some small needs in the field. Our office has also benefited to meet some office requirements. Like buying ream of papers, ink and other small needs.  Apart from supporting the program in the field, the community has also benefited. Hiring of tents its now easier and they request if possible we make up four tents. We observed that, if the chance is given to add more tents, there are chances of getting more money that can help to reduce on finance burden. We are trying to combine our effort as a team to see that another tent is added." Ronald
May 2019: "Our tent project has so far generated funds sufficient for buying a 50 seat tent. Being compelled by the high demand for more tents, we are thinking of buying it this month".
Donated before publication. Thank you.
Love them or hate them, computers are essential for translation, accounts, word processing, management and administration, etc
Local Registration Complete
Continued growth of the ministry needs national registration. This adds credibility and accountability to the ministry and encourages prospective National Board members that SOWERS is well founded. USD350.
This next phase is already underway. Thank you to those who made it possible.
In 2010 an initial visit was made to Uganda at the request of churches there. Initial training was given in a few churches. The SOWERS Program is practical - training must be put into practice before further training is given. That has been done and it is time to take the next step and carry out further development of the Program in Uganda. Cost USD4690 Thanks.
First visit completed successfully and paid for. Praise God - excellent results.
SOWERS is about to launch into Uganda at the invitation of the United Christian Network. The first visit takes place in May. Level 1 and Level 2 training is planned to enable UCN to further evaluate the benefits to them of SOWERS' training. Our people will be able to investigate local resources to strengthen our ability to serve the Ugandan church in future.
